e-Learning Seymour Intertidal Monitoring Program

Working with intertidal biology researchers, we designed and produced the online components of an ongoing coastal monitoring hands-on science project. Although participation is open, the project is targeted to high school biology classes in which they learn how to identify and count marine intertidal plants and animals in the field. They then enter, analyze and compare their findings with others online using a Web interface to a database backend. We designed and produced the Web site for identifying study species, counting techniques, and the interactive database (work-in-progress).
